Still Going

It sure has been a busy month. I'll try to keep all that has happened short. I don't think anyone really wants the long story.
February 6 we had an HOA meeting. What a mess. The meeting ended up being all about Aaron and my floor getting paid for. In the end, I had my wish and Sharon was voted out of Treasure. But I ended up voted in. "Oh well" I thought. "More work. But at least the money will be spent properly." Sharon brought over the stuff and that afternoon came and took it all back. We didn't think much about it at the time because we were in a hurry to get to Salt Lake.
Aaron and I had a wonderful experience that Saturday night. We drove to Salt Lake through a horrible snow storm but made it safely. We had a wonderful family meeting. The spirit and feeling was incredible as we all met in the hospital room with Aaron's dad. I still picture Dick mouthing the words to his favorite hymn as the rest of us sang it.
That night was long. Some of us even got goofy. Meggan, Ryan and I just couldn't stop laughing at one point.
I don't know how to express my feelings about the rest of the night and morning. I'm so glad Aaron and I could be together and with Brenda at that time. I love the Reep's and can see their love for each other. Family that hasn't always seemed close still put their arms around each other. The love has been amazing.
Aaron and I spent the next week helping prepare for the funeral. Mattina Ann really helped a lot at home. The funeral services were nice. I think Dick would have enjoyed all the laughing we were doing. Last night at home evening we were talking about what happens when you die. Aaron said that you take your personality with you and I just started to laugh because I immediately imagined Dick getting their and making all kinds of jokes. I could see all kinds of spirits laughing. What a happy thing. And then I see him so serious as he's teaching his family about the gospel. Dick is so full of personality.
This past week I've delt with the HOA garbage!!!!! That is such a long story, I don't know where to begin. After the meeting on the 6th they (Frank, Sharon, and I'm sure Sheri) decided I had acted "inappropriately" so they kicked me off the board. That's fine. But the fact that Sharon is spending money inappropriatly still needs to be handled. So Belva and I went to the bank and found that we can charge Linda Wilcox with Fraud. I had Jake Graf (an attorney) go with us to con-front her about this. She immediatly went to Sharon and made up stories (which is why we had Mr. Graf with us). Anyway, a big confrontation happened at our house then. I was upset and spent my time trying to put the kids to bed. It makes me mad (for some reason) to listen to how awful I am and how I'm doing all these things that I'm not doing. The bishop called and we went over there. He asked if we'd come back on Sunday and talk with Sharon and Frank.
I prayed before going to the bishop's office. I wanted him to know the truth. When we went back on Sunday I finally got to tell my story of what I've been doing. But when it came to Sharon and Frank listening though I might as well have been talking to a wall. I don't know that they heard a thing I said. The blessing I got from the whole thing though was that the Lord heard my prayer, he loves me and knows I was doing what I thought was best, and the Bishop also heard the spirit and knows the truth as well. I'm going to try and forget the whole thing at this point and just push to get our floor paid for. I don't need that headache anymore.
Last Friday I started coming down with a really bad cold. It started in my chest. I haven't had something like this in about 2 1/2 years. The day after the funeral Geremy started coughing. Then AJ and I started with it on Friday. Saturday Mattina Ann wasn't feeling well but has seemed to recuped well. AJ went to school Monday so I'm thinking he's doing pretty well. I'm feeling mostly better today and just hoping to keep going in this direction. NO MORE SICKNESS PPPPPLLLLLEEEEAAAAASSSSEEEE!!!!!!!!
I'll blog later about basketball, scouts, Tanner and Geremy, and the rest of the family. Hopefully I'll get another minute.
